THE 7777 LOGO
Where this idea came from?
7777 is a special creation in my life! I've been waiting for over a year to create this. Exactly one year before the release of this creation, on March 20th, 2025, I released a soundtrack called "Lullaby of Spring". That was the March Equinox of that year. On that day, I gave a little hint about 7777. At that time, I had an idea to release a soundtrack called "Time" with a running time of 7 minutes at 7 PM on the 7777th day of my life. By that time period, I was busy composing the song "Aala Loke". In the song "Aala Loke", we talked about how a person gets lost between the fantasy of music and the reality of love. Although the song "Aala Loke" was released in October, almost all of the work on it was completed about a month before the release. So, in early September, I started working on another song. I've found a good melody in my recordings and I started composing it. It was the beginning of song "Anthahpure".
While composing "Anthahpure", I was working on another collaboration with my close-friend. Time passed and things started to change one by one. Me, ZONU and Sandesh are friends who meet often. We met at ZONU's house in early December after the release of "Aala Loke". It was ZONU's birthday as I remember. At that time, work was underway on "Anthahpure" and another collaboration. I told them that I was planning ro releasing a work on the 7777th day of my life, and it would most likely be a song. So, ZONU said, "ඉතින්, සිංදු 7ක් release කරමු" (So, let's release 7 songs). I didn't really agree with that idea. ZONU spoke again "එහෙනම්... 7777 කියද්දි digits 4යි. සින්දු 4ක් දාන්න පුළුවන්" (So.. When you say 7777, there are 4 digits. You can put 4 songs). I really liked that idea. Since I was already finishing up two songs, I had enough time for two more. ZONU is a rapper. We had already done a collaboration. Will release it in the future. So, I invited ZONU to do a creation. He agreed!
ZONU was learning things like Web development and 3D arts. He's the one who created my website also. So, ZONU made a great suggestion. He said that Let's make a little game out of this. He said he was very interested in learning it and wanted to do this as an experiment. We started talking about the creation more and more.
The creation begins!
So, the three of us, Me, ZONU and Sandesh, got together and started working on a rap. We worked very hard to bring the things I was facing at that time period into a song. We've almost finished working on that song. We talked for hours while we creating the song. I don't know how to put that effort into words. They came to our house in the morning and return home late at night. ZONU, me and Sandesh worked hard for many sleepless nights to plan the 7777 game.

We planned to do something different than release a song on 7777th day. We planned to shoot a short movie scenario based on an interview. I called Sachin Warnasooriya and pitched our script to him. He was super interested with the creation. Later, I went to meet him. During our conversation in AnyMotion studio, Sachin Warnasooriya's suggestions helped bring the script to another dimension. The script was almost completely changed to another level! We agreed on a date for the shoot in January (2026). December was a period of time when we worked very hard on the creation.
By then, we were in the final stages of composing the song "Anthahpure" and a collaboration with my close friend. The song "Gagana Pura" was also gradually being composed. The song "Sithuwili Akase" also had a melody backing. Work on the four songs was progressing well...
The Dark Age - Struggle!
The year 2026 has arrived! On the morning of January 2nd, my computer wouldn't turn ON. Nothing could be done for two days. One of my SSD's was completely corrupted. I had a lot of problems with my computer. Even if I had backup projects, if I wanted to reload them, I would still need most of those VST's (Virtual instruments, synths which composers use to create songs), Samples. But, by then, I had already lost most of them. So, even if the computer rebuilt, the songs will still be at basic level of composing. After about a week, I got the computer back to normal. But, many files were missing from the composition files. It felt like I was creating the songs from scratch again. The main problem was that the 7777th day of my life fell in March, and the work on the songs had to be completed by that time. If there hadn't been a problem with the computer, all 4 songs would have been finished by mid-january. Unfortunately, I lost most of files! Despite all these problems, we continued working on the game.
Due to a personal issue, my friend was unable to join the project. So, work on the song was halted because of the suitable voice could not be found. Now, I only had 3 songs. The concept we had been building for months was built with all 4 songs. So, we had to change it into a different way.
Also, We weren't able to do the 7777 shoot we had scheduled for January because of the money I spent rebuilding my computer. The whole concept had collapsed at that moment. I felt like I had been shot. Everything was falling apart day by day.
Awakening!
I had two decisions. Either I wanted to release this as is. Or, I wanted to recreate it as best I could. I decided to rebuild it better than it was. Mental freedom is very important for creativity. I traveled to the Kandy area. I relaxed my mind a bit. I did things I liked. I ate/drank things I liked. And.. I'm back afterall.
During the awakening period at Kandy
I stopped working for a while, sat aside and thought to myself. I had 3 songs in my hand at that time. We were cutting a wood carving. Zonu had started developing the game. I knew that we couldn't work with the concept we had developed earlier anyway. So I connected the things I had and built the concept in a different way and talked to ZONU and Sandesh. They both agreed with the concept and we started the creation again.
I probably slept 3 or 4 hours per day. But I didn't feel like it was tiring. I was incredibly excited to start over and continue the work. I did it with great pleasure. I must mention ZONU and Sandesh. They never gave up on this creation. They always said, "Let's do this as better as we can.". Truly greatful for these two artists who are great friends. I was doing the creation while I was working a job. I worked from 8 am to 5 pm and worked on the creation from around 6 pm to 3 or 4 am. It never felt tiring in any way. We all worked on the creation with great enthusiasm. I still laughing when I remembering the funny things we did during that time. Sandesh comes home after work around 7pm. As soon as he gets home, he joins the Discord call to work on the game's development. He stays on call until the wee hours of the morning. Sometimes he falls asleep during the call because of work-stress. ZONU was also a busy-man with a lot of work when he created this. He created this with many distractions, including projects on his campus, client projects, and many more. Every time he had free time, he called me and ask, "මචං අපි game එක හදමුද? (Bro, Shall we work on the game?)". I have no words to express my appreciation for their dedication.

Making of 7777 game
Early in February, we put the finishing touches on the recordings, and by the end of February, the mixdown of each song was finalized.

(Sandesh & ZONU)
By the end of February, the mixing stage of all the songs was completed and all the final mixdowns were given to Shanaka Dilshan for mastering the audio. I already had an idea for the design of the wood carving. So I started working on the wood carving with my father. We finished the wood carving in about a week.

And as I mentioned earlier, due to financial problems we were unable to do the shoot that we had planned to release on the 7777th day. So I thought about how to do this in a different way. So I had the Google AI Ultra plan at that time because I was making AI reels as my job. So I had the opportunity to use those resources. I created a script. As an experiment, I created it using AI. The final output came out good. That output is the video I released on the 7777th day, with a running time of 3 minutes and 33 seconds.
My mobile phone always had a countdown running on it's wallpaper. The days were getting shorter and shorter as we got closer to 7777.

"7777 chapter, which will unfold over 7 days. 7777 is a multi-artistic experience consisting of 7 creations released over 7 days, starting at 7pm on the 7777th day of my (Nipun Geesath) life. This creation consists of 7 creations: an artwork, a wood carving, a concept movie, 3 songs and a game. This creation, which always oscillates between the numbers 3 and 7, was released in the 3rd month of the year, and the first song (Anthahpure) was released in the 3rd week of that month. This creation was also made with the contributions of 3 creators: Nipun Geesath, ZONU, and Sandesh Rathnayake."
I lost a lot of people in this creation. I don't even know why they left. My creations may have caused heartache. I still don't know the reason. I hope they'll tell me the reason when they meet someday, somewhere...
